Our Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) adventures have experienced wonderful popularity, both before and during this quarantine. Kids gotta play. With this popularity however, we have to keep tighter controls on how many kids are signed up. We currently have over 30 kids registered(!) But with such small groups (up to 6 players per session), it puts quite a limit on how many we can take overall. Therefore, sign-ups must be done on a case-by-case basis with email (play@otherworldsgames.com) or in-store. We appreciate your understanding.
1) ABOUT
We use 5E (Fifth Edition, D&D), and the dungeon masters (DM) lead the groups through different adventures with different characters for each DM. The other players are mostly around 3rd to 5th level, but 1st level characters have been able to join, as well as kids who are brand new to playing D&D. (NEW PLAYERS WELCOME!) Characters will be determined by each DM separately. The DMs have the ultimate say on what types/levels of characters are allowed according to what is appropriate for their groups. The DMs also have the last word on all rules/adventure-related concerns for their games.
Our D&D sessions are about two-and-a-half hours long. All of our players are middle school age, 9 to 15. We encourage a mix of genders.
2) SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNTS
To participate, your player must have a desktop computer or a laptop (phones and tablets will not work) with microphones enabled. Having a set of headphones is also preferred to prevent certain audio issues. We use Discord ( Discord | Your Place to Talk and Hang Out) for audio and text chatting, and Roll20 for the graphics and rules materials.
Both websites are free to join and have become very popular thought the industry during the pandemic. As a result, they have also become more secure, stable and now offer more features. All players will need to set up basic accounts with them before joining with our channels. Please bookmark and save your Discord and Roll20 websites and login info. Once signups and payments are arranged, (through email) we will send you the specific Discord link to join. The DM of the group that you want will then send you a Roll20 link specific to their game.
3) RATES/PAYMENT INFO
DUE TO THE NUMBER OF CUSTOM PAYMENTS RUNNING UP AGAINST THE UPCOMING SUMMER SCHEDULE, YOU MUST PLEASE CALL (503-244-0290) OR VISIT THE SHOP DURING OPEN HOURS TO PAY FOR BACK SESSIONS OR TO ADD REMAINING SESSIONS BEFORE JUNE 14th. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. THANK YOU!
Due to the increase in our costs for hosting these online events, we have had to increase our rates. We now offer FIVE sessions for $80, or TEN sessions for $150. We encourage your player to stay with the same group each week. Please do NOT make any payments until you have first checked with us on availability.
We keep track of paid sessions as you go and let you know when you are out or soon to be out. You can also count the entries on the calendar to see how many pre-paid sessions you have left.

4) SCHEDULING
The D&D sessions calendar below shows when each session starts, and is also your way of knowing when your player is signed up and how many sessions he/she/they are prepaid and confirmed for. Please bookmark and check this calendar frequently to make sure your player is signed up.
If you do not see your player’s name on the calendar, that could mean you have not confirmed with us (Ron, specifically) for that specific date or have run out of pre-paid sessions. With the groups so limited in size, it is critical to let us know the specific dates you want and/or to add more sessions to their account. We can only reserve as far out as pre-paid sessions allow.
